There were several humorous scene between her and Xiaofan in the movie, especially every time when she tried to steal that stick.

The way she appeared in the series was very sudden in several attempts to steal away Xiaofan’s demonic stick. It’s one of the most beautiful essence you could see in the drama series.īiyao was introduced in unusual way. Jingyu’s trust towards Xiaofan went on until the end of season 2. Instead of one sole winner, top four were chosen. Butthurt much? In contrast, the drama version, both of them never clash with each other. The funny part between Jingyu and Xiaofan’s special brotherhood bond is that, it was simply broken by Jingyu getting beaten by Xiaofan in the tournament. Their fight was worth mentioning at least, because there is a special effect involve, though its not an immortal-xianxia-worth battle. Quite an elegant entrance I’d say, maybe Jingyu and Ling’er’s duel He engaged in a fight with Ling’er, who considered Jingyu as being rude. Jingyu first made his appearance when he visited Da Zhu Peak to convey the message about the tournament. Their beautiful friendship was shown in the drama very well, like how close their bond is. Not much screen time was given to Xiaofan’s childhood friend, Jingyu in this movie.

The movie version, is the best to portray the cold Lu Xueqi, but beauty, I’d say Yang Zi is more beautiful. But that scene shows nothing of such for me. I know they are trying to show the fact that Lu Xueqi is a beauty that captivates everyone in Qingyun. Plus, the scene where all the disciples took a peek during Lu Xueqi training session was wrong in so many ways. But not even once throughout the movie we could see that she uses that skill. We had sword riding and all, and suddenly during the Qingyun tournament, all of them are simply exchanging fist and sword? And oh dear, Lu Xueqi is the only disciple in Qingyun that can single-handedly use the Thunder Driven Spell. This movie once again, raises my eyebrow in question, to whether this is really a xianxia series. Perhaps the movie did not have much time to actually show that Tian Bu Yi in fact, never had any intention to take Xiaofan as his disciple because all the immortals knew that Xiaofan has very bad foundation in cultivation. Surely, early on in the movie, during the meeting among the seven immortals, Tian Buyi said that Taoist Cangsong already picked the best disciple and left him with the bad one (referring to Xiaofan). He brought Xiaofan and Jingyu back as an act of saving them. Perhaps, if you already watch the drama, you could see that what Tian Bu Yi did was merely coming down from the mountain to check on the incident. From that very scene, Ling’er made it very clear that Xiaofan will be part of Da Zhu Peak disciples. But it felt so wrong when Tian Bu Yi came forth to the village to save Xiaofan and his friend, Jingyu. The story cut short the long and lengthy process of selection, well we could understand due to the time restriction. It just doesn’t look like a place someone would live? Because in the drama version, you could at least see houses there. Don’t get me wrong, its not bad, nor that its good. Because I was used to the view of Da Zhu Peak in the drama, looking at the movie version felt so distant. Cross referencing between the movie and drama perhaps make my mind goes blank. The story started off with dazzling flight of seven figures in the vast open sky, which we later recognized them as six disciples of Da Zhu Peak and the daughter of Da Zhu Peak master, Ling’er. There might be a mix of both ZXF mention in this review, so might wanna pay attention whether it is drama or movie version. The drama was led by Li Yi Feng as Zhang Xiaofan (ZXF), while the movie version is led by Xiao Zhan playing as ZXF. Several things to note before we proceed. So now, in 2019, the movie adaptation with the name Jade Dynasty has been released. The second season of the drama released later 2016 following the first season. The drama adaptation was released back in 2016 with alternative name, Noble Aspiration. So here’s another review of the movie adaptation for Legend of Zhuxian. Just at that split second I thought, oh I haven’t watch this, let’s watch it and finish it right away. But its true I wasn’t in any mood to watch anything at this moment.
